Local families in crisis could face a bleak winter
Christmas should be a time of joy for families but for those facing crisis, it's another story.
Increasing numbers of adults and children around Haverhill are struggling. We know because the number of food parcels we're giving out is 25%
up on last year.
Parents are missing meals so their children can eat. Sometimes whole families are going to bed hungry. On a cold winter's night, they can't afford gas or electricity to heat their homes or cook food - and some weather forecasters are predicting this winter will be the coldest in 50 years.
