Spread a little Christmas Kindness to those in need

December 2019

Christmas should be a special time of joy for families, something that all of us can really look forward to.

But increasing numbers of families in and around Haverhill are struggling with poverty and crisis through no fault of their own. What kind of Christmas are they going to have?

We know of parents that are missing meals so that their children can eat. Sometimes whole families are going to bed hungry. On a cold winter’s night, they can’t afford gas or electricity to heat their homes or cook food - and some weather forecasters are predicting this winter will be the coldest in 50 years.

It could be a very bleak Christmas indeed for families like these.

Thanks to the wonderful support you gave us at Harvest, we’ve got all the basic food we need to feed struggling families in the next couple of months.

But wouldn’t it be lovely to put some treats into their food boxes for Christmas? It’s a simple thing, but it can really put a smile on the face of someone who’s just worn down by the challenges they’re facing.

Please will you help by sponsoring a Christmas hamper or donating festive food items?

Sponsor a hamper
