Saffron Carter – Engagement & Advocacy Lead
I have lived near and in Haverhill all my life. After working in different hospitality and retail positions, I found my feet working with wine. Which remains one of my favourite hobbies!
 
The Coronavirus pandemic made me realise that I would like to find a more fulfilling challenge and having admired the work of REACH in Haverhill, I was extremely excited to find a position here.
 
My role as Community Organiser is new and is in partnership with the Trussell Trust with the end goal of reducing inequality and the need for foodbanks. I have always been interested in social policy and studied Politics and Sociology whilst at sixth form. I am keen to support the community both in and around Haverhill and make a positive impact on people's lives here.  
 
My hobbies include reading about wine (& of course tasting), learning languages, particularly Spanish and more recently Italian, walking and being in the great outdoors!
